Ok, so maybe I'm not falling completely out of love with my hair. When I saw this texture shot, I was like whoa! To see the real beauty, you've got to click on it to enlarge! LOL

And yes, I'm still obsessed with the curls in the back... I don't think this will ever change.

this is me trying to "spice up" my TWA with a cute headband... but even this gets old.

I feel like I've graduated to some new level of hair... I did my first baby twists! I only did a couple b/c as small as they are, they are deceptively time consuming. But I see twist outs in my future!

Length Checks… Just the Beginning

It’s been two months since my big chop and it’s clear my hair is growing.  So now it’s time for those length checks I see other women do.  And yes, I broke out a ruler like the ones we used in school!  Whatever works, right?!  😉

back of my hair- 2 inches (even though my finger is blocking it)

My sides don't seem as long as they are because my coils are SUPER tight, but 2 inches it is.

And here's the measurement at the top of my head... I tried to pick "the shortest" looking curl and it still came in just shy of 2 inches. Good to know my hair is relatively even!

Be Curly and New Hairstyle

Thanks to @Kris for pushing me to give braiding my hair a shot!  So here it is, my flat twists and renewed love of Aveda’s Be Curly!

Parted my hair and even had to clip it down which means its getting longer!!!

Two down and several more to go.

Ready to flat twist this section... although it took really long, it was pretty easy.

One side done! Phew!!!
